On my undergrad, my poetry teacher made me throw snowballs at a wall, light fires and sword fight in the hopes that it would make us better writers. Something must have clicked because I'm now a British Asian fashion blogger and digital lifestyle journalist based in London.
I graduated from the University of Warwick's Creative Writing BA in 2014, then became an editorial assistant for Sassy Media Group in Hong Kong. I then became a digital assistant for Marie Claire UK in London, all the while writing for its sister publications Ideal Home, InStyle UK, Trusted Reviews and LOOK.
I went freelance and continued writing for Marie Claire, as well as a new gig with Bustle UK. I also occasionally work with the team over at Forbes US to afford essentials like Michael Bolton CDs, house plants and a Netflix subscription.
You can find my portfolio here, if that's a thing you're interested in.
I also delve into copywriting from time to time for the likes of Leisure Pass Group and have cobbled press releases together for the likes of Arnold Schwarzenegger. (Don't ask.)
I also disappoint my Filipino grandmother by writing poetry, instead of going to medical school. I've been published by Write Bloody, alongside my literary heroes Sarah Kay and Andrea Gibson, as well as by Cha: An Asian Literary Journal.
